Dublin Airport’s Runway

Our engineers along with a construction team of up to 200 people have been working on upgrading Dublin Airport’s main runway. The project includes a complete resurfacing and the intallation of new ground lighting systems. Our Engineers have been involved in recording initial levels and setting out final levels, setting out the drainage and lighting around the runway.

The runway handles about 95% of all flights at Dublin Airport and is a critical piece of Ireland’s national infrastructure. In order to work on the runway with minimum distrubance to the flights this project had to be done at night while the runway was closed to allow for the work to take place.
